In order to get appropriate treatment from the doctor, it is important to know about type of asthma from which you are suffering from.

The different types of Asthma

Asthma should not be taken lightly, if not taken care properly it might lead to very dangerous consequences. The asthma patients should know about their disease type for its regular treatment. All kinds of Asthma might have common symptoms like coughing, wheezing, breath difficulties, etc. But still there is a difference in all kind of Asthma.

Seasonal Asthma

As the name suggests itself, the seasonal Asthma is like the other seasonal allergy occurs during specific season when the pollens and other allergens are more active in the environment. Certain prevention methods like limiting the outdoor visits or wearing a protective mask during the allergic season can help the people suffering from seasonal asthma a lot.

Allergic Asthma

This is the most common type of Asthma spread all around the globe. Allergens such as pollen, mites and dust are the most common cause of allergic asthma. Since these allergens are present almost everywhere in the environment, people suffering from allergic asthma should always stay cautious and also maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of their surroundings to suppress their asthma symptoms.

Non-Allergic Asthma

Non-Allergic asthma is not activated by any sort of allergens, instead the triggers of this asthma is anxiety, stress, cold air, over exercise, smoke, viruses etc. The non-allergic asthma does not involve the reaction of immune system like the allergic asthma.

Occupational Asthma

It is easy to guess the cause of this kind of asthma by its name. The occupational asthma is the kind of asthma that one acquires from the place he/she is working. The most common victims of occupational asthma are the factory workers (as they come across the dust and powder), teachers (due to exposure to chalk dust), and painters (due to inhaling the smell of paints and other such fumes.)

Nocturnal Asthma

It is the worst kind of asthma one can ever suffer from. As the nocturnal asthma deprive the sufferer from the sleep. The nocturnal asthma patients experience symptoms like uncontrollable dry coughs, tightening in chest, difficulty in breathing in the middle of the night.
